World Book Day 2013

Hi all,
It's that time of year again, yes it really is, World Book Day!
This year, two out of three in our house are dressing up. Me(the oldest) and the youngest! So what do you do for costumes for a 5 year old girl and a not quite teenager?
Here are some costume ideas for World Book Day 2013:
Me-secondary school, girl ideas:

  1. Nancy Drew-retro, smart clothing
  2. Pippi Longstocking-mad pigtails, patchy clothing
  3. Ruby Redfort-jeans and statement t-shirt
  4. Famous Five-jerseys and jeans!
  5. Harry Potter and co.-robes/school uniform and wand!
  6. A book!-I once dressed up as this when I was young with a painted cardboard box!
Younger sister-primary school, girl ideas:
  1. Harry Potter and co.-robes/school uniform and wand!
  2. Rainbow Magic Fairies:
  • Sports themed fairy-appropriate clothing and wings
  • The Colour themed fairies-dress/tunic and shoes in the appropriate colour and wings(try painting ballet shoes!)
  • Dance fairies-appropriate clothing for that dance style and wings(ballet may be a good choice!)
      3.The wolf!-furry jacket, brown/grey leggings, ears(try googling braided versions!) and brown/grey top
      4. Fairy tale princesses(let us remember that the Disney stories are written down!)-dress and other appropriate items!
