Books for the holidays....

Hi all!

Don't hate me! I haven't posted because I've been sunning myself in Italy!

Firstly, a quick thing from Cinda Williams Chima onn why she wrote the Seven Realms series: "The Seven Realms series is set in a world I created for an adult high fantasy series (The Star-Marked Warder) that I never finished. I’d been reading George R.R. Martin’s Song of Ice and Fire series back in the 90s and I loved what he did with character. None of his characters were villains or heroes—they were all complex, flawed human beings—inhabiting fantasy worlds! And I thought—I want to write characters like that."
(That's from Fantasy Fiction.com)

And so, onto holiday reads-or read them any time!

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
Good for: Wannabe supermodels ( they all read very classic literature), people who like period drama/romance and those who want to read classics
My advice: Get a large print version-my copy has minute print!

Any of Zoe Marriott's books!
Good for: Those who like romance, noughts and crosses, fairy tale retellings........
My advice: Buy 'em all!

Whisper my name by Jane Eagland
Good for: Ghost story lovers
My advice: Read in bright sunlight if you get easily creeped out!

The Other Countess by Eve Edwards
Good for: People who can't get their nose out of tudor court romances!(That would be me!) Those who like Tudor stuff!
My advice: The second one stands well on it's own and has less romance!

And last but by absolutely no means least....
Grave Mercy by Robin La Fevers
Good for: All-think killer nuns, courtly drama and dark plots.
My advice: BUY BUY BUY BUY!!!!

How about the Carnegie Medal list?

Happy Holidays!
